About DHR Communications

DHR Communications is an innovative consultancy that works primarily with organisations that want to bring about positive change in society. Our communications services cover public relations, public affairs and project management.

We work to meet clients’ individual needs by offering different levels of services, from strategic advice to hands-on project delivery. For clients seeking to increase internal capacity, we offer a range of tailored training programmes in:

Our team is led by the founding director of DHR Communications, Catherine Heaney.  Catherine has a well-established reputation as a public affairs and PR consultant in the not-for-profit and statutory sectors.  At DHR Communications, she draws on her experience of working in communications, management and policy-development roles in Irish politics and within NGOs.

DHR Communications is chaired by former ICTU General Secretary and incoming Director of the Kennedy Centre for Conflict Intervention at NUI Maynooth, Peter Cassells.

Corporate Social Responsibility

DHR Communications was founded with the specific objective of making PR and public affairs more affordable for organisations in the statutory and non-profit sectors.  This goal underpins our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.  We strive to make CSR an integral part of our work, and we support all employees to become involved in CSR activities.

At present, our CSR programme is comprised of three main elements:

  1. Providing pro-bono PR services to a select number of individuals / organisations on an annual basis.
  2. Facilitating employees to join the boards of charities and to assist them with PR and communications outputs free of charge.
  3. Sponsoring employees’ involvement in overseas volunteering initiatives.
