DHDA

Since the establishment of DHR Communications in 2004, one of our major clients has been the Digital Hub Development Agency (DHDA), the Government agency charged with delivering The Digital Hub enterprise and regeneration project in Dublin’s south-west inner city. We provide ongoing PR support to the Agency, along with communications, event management and public consultation services. In addition, DHR Communications manages The Digital Hub’s award-winning consultation process, the Community Public Private Partnership (CPPP), which involves consultation with all stakeholders in the project.

Like many statutory agencies, a number of different organisations have a ’stake’ in the work of The Digital Hub. These include: the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources; Enterprise Ireland; Dublin City Council; local residents’ associations and community groups; local education-providers; tenant companies based in The Digital Hub, and – of course – the local community. To successfully deliver public relations and public affairs services to the DHDA, it is necessary for DHR Communications to consult with all of these various stakeholders in a cohesive manner on an ongoing basis to identify their needs and advise The Digital Hub on how best to meet them. As a result of this stakeholder engagement work, the DHDA enjoys the unwavering support of the local community; tenant companies, and all key stakeholders.

DHR Communications also works with the DHDA on an ongoing basis on the planning, development and project management of numerous media events, including the DARE2BDRINKAWARE student film competition; the Irish finals of the World Cyber Games, and the ‘Best in Show’ art exhibition, all of which occur on an annual basis. In addition, we promote the outcomes of the Hub’s extensive learning programme, as well as organising public affairs events, such as visits by Government Ministers and the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to The Digital Hub. We also provide support to The Digital Hub for the launch of various publications each year, including the Agency’s Annual Report, an annual Enterprise Survey of the companies located in the Hub, and end-of-year statements outlining progress made by the project over the previous 12 months.
