DHR Communications Announces Expanded Staff Team
DHR Communications, one of Ireland’s leading PR firms, has today (06.08.14) announced an expansion of its staff team. Three new employees have joined the firm in recent months – at Account Manager and Account Executive levels.
Over the past 18 months, DHR has grown its workforce by 50 per cent, and now employs 12 people.

Commenting today, Catherine Heaney, Managing Director of DHR, said: “DHR is a local firm with a global reach. For clients with an international focus, we provide PR and public affairs campaigns that reach EU, UN and wider levels. At the same time, we work with national and community organisations to deliver targeted regional and sectoral campaigns.
“Features that all three of our new employees have in common are language skills and experience of working abroad. Sarah studied French and German at university level, and subsequently worked in Brussels; Emma is a fluent Spanish speaker, having spent a year living and working in Spain; and Sebastian is a native German speaker, who speaks French and Italian, as well as English. They will draw on their international experience in delivering creative and highly effective PR solutions for our clients.”
Founded in 2004, DHR works with clients across a range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, business, public sector, not-for-profit, education and the arts. The company is chaired by Peter Cassells, a former General Secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and current Executive Director of the Edward M. Kennedy Centre for Conflict Intervention at NUI Maynooth.
The senior management team at DHR has been significantly expanded in recent years: Martina Quinn, who has been with the company for seven years, was promoted to Executive Director at the start of 2014, while Leinster House veteran Tony Heffernan – who served as Media Director for Michael D. Higgins’ successful presidential election campaign – and former Government Minister Pat Carey also serve in senior roles.
