It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and here at DHR Communications, we’re looking forward to kicking off our festive celebrations at the launch of the Simon House of Light at the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on South William Street next Thursday, 12th December at 6pm.
We’ve been working with the Simon Communities of Ireland on the PR for the House of Light initiative over the last few months and next Thursday’s event will launch a three day light and music projection show at the Centre, aimed at raising awareness of Simon and the work that they do, and as a ‘thank you’ to all their business supporters.
On the evening itself, there will be some fantastic prizes for the most creative ‘light-up’ Christmas jumpers, which will be chosen by our panel of very special guests, including actor and children’s author Pauline McLynn, television presenter Stephen Byrne, journalist Roisín Ingle and retailer Louis Copeland.
In terms of your jumper, it’s up to you how overboard or conservative you would like to keep the main design. Add tinsel, beads, buttons, felt cut-outs and festive embroidery to make your ‘light-up for Simon’ jumper stand out from the crowd.
Prizes on the night include:
It promises to be a spectacular show and, to top it all off, X-Factor contestant, Melanie McCabe will be performing Christmas carols with the Lucan Gospel Choir, so be sure to come along and bring your friends and families too. Looking forward to seeing all of your colourful Christmas jumpers then!
