Martina Quinn
Martina Quinn is an Account Director at DHR Communications and is an experienced communications professional, with a strong background in the community, voluntary and public sectors. She has worked at DHR Communications since 2007, delivering PR services across a range of client accounts.
She has particular expertise in social media campaigns and project management, and has played a lead role in managing major initiatives and events for clients such as ESB International, Irish Aid, Trócaire, the South-East Regional Authority and Ballymun Youth Action Project. She manages the PR campaign and online strategy for the annual DARE2BDRINKAWARE.ie film and multimedia competition, and also leads DHR Communications’ work with a range of high-profile non-profit organisations, including Threshold, Active Retirement Ireland and Clúid Housing Association.
Prior to joining DHR Communications, she served as Communications Manager with AONTAS, the National Adult Learning Organisation. In this role, she coordinated national lobbying activities, training and ongoing media relations for the Organisation. She was central to the delivery of Ireland’s first Adult Learners’ Festival, and her role encompassed facilitating the festival steering group, coordinating the programme of events and promoting the festival nationwide. During her tenure, Martina instigated the production of Explore magazine, which is now an established resource for those involved in adult and community education in Ireland.
Martina has also served in a communications role with Fine Gael, where she worked in National Headquarters, assisting in internal communication strategies and working on local and European election campaigns. She also worked on fundraising activities for the Party, including the planning, coordination and management of major national fundraising events.
Previously, Martina was a journalist with Public Affairs Ireland, Council Review, Local Authority Journal and Emergency Services Ireland. She is a graduate of the BA in Journalism at DCU.
