David O’Donnell

Account Manager

With qualifications in media production and digital marketing, David leads the delivery of high-end video for clients at DHR. As well as managing the production and editing of DHR’s in-house videography, David also advises clients on the use of video in the context of digital communications and on incorporating video as an essential element of all communications strategies.

He also has significant expertise in digital communications, including social media, websites and videography. He regularly reviews and develops online and digital communication channels for clients, and advises clients on best approaches to optimising online performance and increasing digital engagement. In his role as Account Manager at DHR, David is responsible for the curation of all social media content for a number of DHR clients, including the content curation of digital newsletters and websites.

David has also delivered bespoke training sessions on social media and online communications to DHR clients, and contributes to DHR’s media skills training packages. He has extensive experience in project and event management, and plays a key role in the delivery of public affairs services for DHR.

Prior to joining DHR Communications, David completed a BA in Creative Digital Media and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Marketing and is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. He also has a number of years’ management experience in the grocery retail sector, with a key emphasis on the delivery of a high level customer service.

Outside of DHR David sits as the Irish Regional Coordinator on the board of the Oblate Youth Service (OYS), a youth charity who facilitate the travel and care of sick pilgrims to Lourdes in Southern France.

In his spare time, David enjoys exploring new parts of the world, keeping up to speed with news and current affairs and dreaming of the day when Meath return to All-Ireland glory.
