Sebastian Enke

Since joining DHR in 2014, Sebastian has provided counsel to a wide range of clients operating in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. With extensive experience in PR, journalism and audience research, Sebastian has a strong track record of advising organisations on issues related to strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and reputation management.

Sebastian leads the media relations and public affairs activities for a number of DHR’s clients and has expertise in undertaking communications audits across different sectors. He delivers DHR’s online communications, media skills and interview preparation training programmes and he also lectures on the MA in Journalism and Public Relations course at Griffith College.

Since 2014, Sebastian has been on the Board of the Liberties Business Forum, which was established by Dublin City Council and represents the interests of large and small businesses and stakeholders in Dublin’s historic Liberties district. He currently chairs the Forum’s communications and marketing sub-committee.

Prior to joining DHR, Sebastian worked in various roles in the fields of journalism, media monitoring and analysis, and PR and media relations. He holds MA degrees in Communications Studies and English and is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII). Sebastian is a native German speaker, speaks English on a bilingual level, and is fluent in French and Italian.

Sebastian has a big interest in all things news, current affairs and arts and culture. Outside of work, he goes to gigs, plays and festivals as much as he can, likes to explore the hiking trails around Ireland, is an avid runner and a bad but enthusiastic sea swimmer, and an aspiring inner-city vegetable grower.
