‘Meditation: What’s the Point? by Ringu Tulku Rinpoche
We’re delighted to be working with Bodhicharya Ireland on an exciting event happening this Saturday, 6th July. The internationally renowned Buddhist Lama, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, founder of the cultural and educational association Bodhicharya International, is currently visiting Ireland, and Bodhicharya are holding a free public talk this Saturday at 2pm at the Hilton Kilmainham, Inchicore Rd, Dublin 8.
Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is regarded as one of the greatest living Tibetan Buddhist lamas, and has a close working connection with the Dalai Lama. Ringu Tulku Rinpoche has visited Ireland at least once a year for the past 23 years. A disproportionate amount of his students from around the world are based in Ireland or are Irish living abroad.
The public talk is entitled ‘Meditation: What’s the Point?’, and will discuss the relevance of meditation in everyday life and how it can improve our mental and physical health. He has a particular interest in the meeting place between science and mind; the scientific rationale for meditation; and the links between Science and Buddhism.
We’re looking forward to meeting Ringu Tulku Rinpoche over the coming days and hearing first hand the benefits meditation can bring to people’s health and lifestyles, and hope to see you there!
