Working in public affairs and communications since 2011, Olwyn has provided strategic advice and analysis to senior teams, including CEOs, corporate and public affairs directors and boards. She has advised Irish and international firms based in Ireland, in both the public and private sector, as well as membership organisations.

Olwyn knows how to quickly get fully immersed in her clients, building knowledge and competence in each, understanding their issues and requirements, devising strategies and solutions. She works with clients on reputation development and management, developing advocacy and engagement strategies and plans. She provides insight and analysis on legislation and policy developments that may impact clients. She works with clients to build and develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. She also provides media and communications training and prepares clients for appearances before Oireachtas committees.

Olwyn brings her experience as a former TD to her role. She represented Laois Offaly and was a member of the Fine Gael front bench for nine years,  as spokesperson on Education and Science and later Social Protection. She was a member of many Oireachtas committees including those related to her portfolios, the Public Accounts Committee and committees relating to constitutional amendments. She also served as a member of Offaly County Council and the Midland Regional Authority. Prior to joining DHR, she worked as an advocacy adviser with Dóchas.

Olwyn holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from UCD and a Diploma in Community Development Practice from NUIG and is a former solicitor.

Outside of DHR, Olwyn enjoys running, hiking, reading, current affairs and cheering her children from the sideline.
