Joanne Ahern works as an Account Director with DHR Communications, devising and delivering successful communications and media strategies for a range of clients.
Prior to joining DHR, Joanne was a journalist for 15 years, working in a number of local and national print, broadcast and online newsrooms. Over the years, she has witnessed many changes in the industry. During her time as an editor, Joanne received thousands of media pitches, each vying for her attention. Prior to working at DHR Communications, Joanne was the deputy editor and news editor of daily commuter newspaper, Metro Herald and Dublin local weekly, the Tallaght Echo. She also worked as a broadcast journalist at Newstalk and as an online and broadcast journalist at RTÉ.
